​This chaise lounge or "fainting sofa" was purchased by our customer when she was in her 20's. It journeyed with her through life changes, raising a family, moving several times, until she was at last ready to restore it when she reached her 70's. The frame required a complete rebuild; creating new carvings from the same oak as the original frame to replace the missing scrollwork and complete refinishing. Reupholstery was from the base up; replacing the webbing with the same burlap webbing as original, re-tying the springs, replacing the stuffing.
