Sentimental Conservation
If there is one thing we’ve learned in our business…bad things happen to good furniture. It always seems that scratches appear on the top of the dining table you inherited from grandma, or a seam splits on the sofa that perfectly matches the color of the living room walls. Favorite pieces used every day sustain a lot of abuse and wear and tear.
But what happens when you have just had a piece of furniture restored, invested your hard earned money into that table or sofa, had it delivered to you in shining, perfect beauty….and then the dents, scratches and “accidents” begin to show up?
We understand that furniture restoration is not only an investment in restoring family history and memories, but an investment in a piece to be enjoyed by future generations. So how can you protect your investment?
Allow us to introduce our Sentimental Conservation Program, a FREE Membership that lasts as long as your furniture.
Here's how it works
We issue you a dated original Certificate of Membership in the Sentimental Conservation Program with your name and a description of the pieces covered by the Membership.
We issue and attach a matching decal to the bottom or back of your pieces to identify that the piece was restored by Mumford Restoration and is protected by our Sentimental Conservation Program.
Every year on the anniversary of the delivery date of your restored piece, we will contact you by email or phone to find out if your piece is in need of any service or inspection.
If so, at NO ADDITIONAL COST, we will schedule an appointment to inspect your pieces in your home or business to;
· Clean and polish.
· Make any on-site repairs.
· Perform any necessary on-site touchup.
Now we know you will have a few questions about this, so here are a few answers:
How much does it cost?
This is a FREE Membership obtained by restoring any piece at our Platinum Service level.
What is not covered?
We cannot cover water or fire damage, sun fading or pet damage.
How long does it last?
The Sentimental Conservation Program is permanent, and transferable if the pieces are inherited by a local family member. If a piece is sold, the Membership is void. You may be thinking, that’s great, but how long will you guys be around to take care of this? Well, we are a family owned and operated business. And we’ve been around for 28 years. So I think it’s safe to say we aren’t going anywhere.
What does “Conservation” mean?
Conservation is defined as; “The act of preserving, guarding or protecting, preservation from loss, decay, injury or violation. The official care and protection of natural resources.”
Does my piece that was restored 5 years ago still qualify?
YES! Any piece that we have fully restored at Platinum Service level we will be happy to conserve and maintain.
