And if we’re lucky enough, we get those stories in writing and sometimes, on camera. Take a look at the videos below—and grab a tissue, you might need one!

Resonating Memories: A Granddaughter's Gift of Restoration

In this touching and heartwarming short video, a granddaughter embarks on a heartfelt mission to restore a cherished family heirloom, her grandparents' beloved Victrola. This vintage music player, a wedding gift that has graced their home for decades, holds countless memories and tunes that have played the soundtrack to their love story. Once revealed, her grandparents are transported back to their youth, to the moments when they first fell in love.

It’s a poignant reminder of the enduring power of love and the beauty of preserving treasured memories. It’s also a testament to the timeless bond between generations and the magic of rediscovering moments that have shaped a family's history.

Restoring family heirlooms and cherished pieces isn't just about preserving wood and fabric; it's about safeguarding the tapestry of our family's history, one memory at a time. Each scuff, scratch, and mark tells a story, and through restoration, we ensure that those stories continue to resonate in our lives for generations to come.

          Barrel Top Desk

This beauty was sun faded and cracked, and needed some rejuvenation. After some hard work and French polish this barrel top desk was ready for it's home and to be the star of any room!

          Davenport Desk

This project is from several years ago, but such a gorgeous piece deserves a revamped video! This pop up desk, or Davenport Desk was damaged in a move but the veneer was in near perfect condition! With a little puzzle piece like repairing and precision, all the small pieces of the gallery were able to fit together again and the supports were reattached in the front.

          Wood Restoration

          Kidney Shaped Side Table

This beautiful kidney shaped table, or 'haricot' table, needed a lot of work, and we were more than happy to help!  Now, the transformation is complete and with its revitalized appearance and strengthened integrity, it is destined to bring joy and utility to many more years to come.

          Mid Century Modern Dresser

This mid century modern dresser is part of the Broyhill Brasilia collection from the 1960s. This piece had seen some use over the years and was in need of restoration. After getting to the bare wood, it was given a new stain and finish that helped the walnut to really shine through! Now it looks much like it did when it was on the showroom floor in the 60s, and will be a tremendous addition to its owner's mid century modern home!

          Vintage Takara Belmont Barber Chair

We had a chance to take this awesome classic Takara Belmont Barber Chair from rusty and dusty to something any barber shop would be proud to have! From beginning to end, take a look at the journey of the restoration of this vintage barber chair.

          Mohair Sofa

It's easy to see the beauty in this 1930's mohair sofa, even when it first came in! The rich color, the detailed wood trim, it just needed some restoration. After removing all the material and getting it down to bare wood, we were able to build it back up to keep those beautiful lines and shape. The best part? We used a wine color fabric that mimicked the rich look that the original fabric had when it was first made. This piece is now ready to turn some heads in its beautiful historic home!

          Art Restoration

          Enchantment by Jean MacLane

Enchantment by Jean MacLane is the third painting we've been able to work on in partnership with Warren County Schools, Preservation Warrenton, the Warren County Arts Council and the town of Warrenton, NC. It is one of five paintings that were donated to John Graham High School in 1926 by Katherine Pendleton Arrington. The painting itself needed to be cleaned and had a few areas that need to be patched up.  Our artist was able to bring the glow back to this piece and you can really see the way the little one's face lights up while looking at the flowers; no wonder MacLane called it, "Enchantment!"

Angel of Victory by Elliott Daingerfield

We have been so fortunate to be able to work with Heritage Square Historical Society in Fayetteville, NC on many projects, including this amazing painting by Elliott Daingerfield. The painting itself needed to be cleaned, as well as a new protective varnish added. We were even able to clean the frame to help it gain back some of its shine. The painting now hangs once again in the Sanford House, one of the three buildings that make up Heritage Square.

          Outdoor Metal Furniture

          Blue Glider

Outdoor pieces are all susceptible to rust and general wear from the elements. But sandblasting, cleaning, and a new powder coat or automotive finish can be added to bring the design back to life! And who doesn't love a gorgeous two-tone glider?! Makes me think of warm afternoons with a nice breeze, and maybe a tall glass of lemonade in my hand while I rock, just watching the day roll by.

          Metal Swing - After

It's been a little while since we introduced you to this beautiful outdoor metal swing, and it's finally all done! The frame was sandblasted and then powder coated, all new waterproof outdoor fabric used for the cushions and canopy, and it is so ready for a nice afternoon and someone to enjoy it with a cold glass of sweet tea in your hand! This is the perfect swing for Spring!
